Helping you pay for school and other learning opportunities
The College of Human Sciences (CHS) and its programs offer approximately $1,300,000 in scholarships and financial aid each year.
Undergraduate application
The College of Human Sciences uses the same online application (the OneApp) as the ISU Office of Financial Aid to gather your information and consider you for appropriate scholarships from our pool of more than 100 scholarship funds. When you complete the general (ISU) application portion of the OneApp application, the system works to match you to the correct CHS, department or major-specific scholarship based on the criteria of each of the 100+ scholarship funds. Submitting a complete OneApp application and any additional materials OneApp recommends you apply for automatically ensures you will be considered for department or school-level scholarships and university-level scholarships. The OneApp application (general and CHS) takes about an hour to complete, and you save it and complete it at a later time if needed. You will need your ISU Net ID to start your application.
The online scholarship application page explains requirements, deadlines, and other details for CHS undergraduates (incoming freshmen, transfer, and current students). The few scholarships not yet included in OneApp because of rolling or multiple deadlines throughout the year are outlined on our special circumstances scholarship page.
Graduate application
Graduate students can visit the graduate student scholarship page for electronic application documents for CHS scholarships. The graduate student application does not use the OneApp application process.
Acadmic units have lists of their own department/school scholarships available on their websites. Remember that you are considered for school/department-level scholarships when you complete the CHS application form.
